UWC New York is hosting a beach party at The Rockaways on Saturday September 5th, and you're invited to take part in the festivities, just an hour and a half away from the city! Last year our first "UWC New York Goes to the Beach" was a huge success with 60 attendees so we're having round two! This event is graciously hosted again by Atlantic College Alum Beata Jostmeier, who we can't thank enough!Â
There will be a hot tub, food, drinks and the usual one-of-a-kind UWC mixing and mingling! Oh yeah and THE BEACH IS HALF A BLOCK AWAY! We're charging $12 to provide you with some food and drinks ($6 for starving students everywhere)Â

1. Subway + Bus:Â 5 subway to Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn College --> Q35 Bus to Newport Avenue
2. Subway + Bus: A subway to Rockaway Boulevard --> Q53 bus to Cross Bay BL/Liberty Av
3. $30 roundtrip ferry from Pier 11 in Wall Street to Jacob Riis Park Area, 15-minute walk to the house (last ferry from Rockaway leaves at 5:30pm!). Click here for ferry schedule (we recommend taking the 11:30am departing from Pier 11). Â
